UCPD searching for suspect in second Roebling peeping incident

University police are searching for a man who was seen peeping into a North Village apartment on July 2.

A UCLA student confronted a man who was looking into an apartment window at about 11 a.m. on Roebling Avenue, according to a UCPD alert.The man told the student he locked himself out of his apartment and was trying to get into the balcony.

The student saw the man about 20 minutes later and confronted him again. The man then ran northbound on Roebling Avenue.

The man was white, about 20 years old and 5 feet 7 inches tall with a slim build and bald head, according to the alert. He was last seen wearing a tan shirt and light-colored shorts.

No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.

This was the second peeping reported on Roebling Avenue within a week. On June 28, a student reported seeing a man peep into her apartment at 1:30 a.m., who left when she screamed.
