University police arrested a man Saturday in connection to an assault that occurred April 16.

UCPD arrested the 20-year-old man on Saturday afternoon at his South Los Angeles home for allegedly using his motorcycle to hit another man on Strathmore Drive near Charles E. Young Drive, said UCLA spokesperson Nancy Greenstein in an email statement. UCPD released an alert on Wednesday saying police were looking for the man.

He was arrested on one charge of assault with a deadly weapon and one charge of hit and run.

The man is currently being held at the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Inmate Reception Center in Downtown Los Angeles in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Greenstein added the man does not appear to be affiliated with UCLA.

The man is scheduled to be arraigned at the Airport Courthouse on Tuesday at 4 p.m., according to sheriff’s department records.
