University police are searching for a man who was seen peeping into a UCLA student’s North Village apartment Tuesday night.

The student told police a man was looking through her apartment bedroom window on Roebling Avenue about 10:30 p.m., according to a UCPD alert. The man left after the student called UCPD and her roommate had made eye contact with the man.

The man was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall with tan skin and a medium build, according to the alert. He was wearing a blue and white horizontal-striped crewneck shirt, dark jeans and a beige hat.

No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.

Another student also reported Tuesday a man was peeping into her apartment window on Kelton Avenue at 4 a.m.

UCPD recommends students to keep all windows and doors secured and to be aware of their surroundings.

Westwood residents reported 28 peepings from September 2013 to August 2014. Students also reported peepings in the North Village in June and in November last year.

Anyone with information about this case can call UCPD at 310-825-1491.
