University police are searching for a man who allegedly raped a UCLA student on the Hill Thursday night.

The student told police she attended a party in the North Village about 11 p.m., where she met the man, according to a UCPD alert. The student reported the man escorted her to her dorm room and sexually assaulted her.

The man was described as black, 5 feet, 3 inches tall and 20 years old.

This is the third reported sexual assault in 2016.

No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.

UCPD recommends students be aware of their surroundings, be accompanied by friends and be alert of their safety and that of their friends.

Anyone with information about this case can call UCPD at 310-825-1491.
