Student robbery reported on Landfair Avenue

University police are looking for people who struck a UCLA student from behind and stole his money and credit card early Saturday in the North Village.

The student told police he was walking on Landfair Avenue about 4 a.m. on Saturday when he was hit from behind and fell to the ground, according to a UCPD alert. The group of people then took his wallet out of his pocket, took his cash and credit card and fled in an unknown direction.

UCPD could not provide full descriptions of the people, or estimate the number of people involved.

The student reported minor injuries such as scratches and cuts.

No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.
