Man accused of attempting to sexually assault UCLA student at party

University police reported a man attempted to sexually assault a UCLA student at a party in the North Village Saturday night.

The student reported an acquaintance attempted to assault her at a party on Landfair Avenue, according to a UCPD alert. The man left the party after someone confronted him.

UCPD did not provide a full description of the man.

No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.

UCPD recommends students to check in with friends whenever they go to social gatherings, to avoid distractions and to be aware of their surroundings.
