University police are searching for a man who was seen peeping into a UCLA student’s North Village apartment Friday night.

A third-year psychology student said a man peeked into her third-floor apartment bathroom window on Kelton Avenue about 9 p.m. She said she went outside after she saw him, but the man ran down stairs and behind her apartment building.

She described the man as white and about 6 feet tall, with short hair and an average build. She added he was wearing a black baseball hat, a black shirt and shorts.

Only a handful of peepings have been reported over the past year, but Westwood residents reported 24 peepings in North Village apartments during the 2013-2014 academic school year. Most recently, a student reported a peeper at her Roebling Avenue apartment in June.

A Los Angeles resident was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and peeping in August 2014. He was sentenced to six months jail and was told to stay away from UCLA and Westwood for three years.

No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.

Anyone with information about this case can call UCPD at (310) 825-1491.
