UCPD looking for suspect in Sepulveda Boulevard burglary

By Roberto Luna Jr.

Sept. 30, 2015 12:06 p.m.

University police are searching for a man who attempted to force his way into a UCLA student’s university apartment on Sepulveda Boulevard Tuesday night.

The man knocked at the students’ apartment at 3191 Sepulveda Blvd. about 9 p.m., but one of the students did not initially see the man through the peephole, according to a UCPD alert. When the student opened the door, the man tried to force himself into the apartment, but the students intervened and pushed him out.

The students lost sight of the man after he walked down the apartment building hallway.

The man was described as black, about 35 years old, six feet tall, weighing 170 pounds and cross eyed with brown eyes, a black unkempt afro and a light complexion. He was wearing a black T-shirt, dark pants and a brown jacket.

The case is still under investigation. No further information was immediately available.

Anyone with information about this case can call UCPD at 310-825-1491.
