University police arrested a man who allegedly threatened another man with a knife in Parking Structure 4 Sunday morning.

The man followed the second man from the 405 Freeway into the first level of the parking lot after an apparent road rage incident, according to a UCPD statement. The first man approached the second man around 11 a.m., told him to watch where he drives and then made threatening remarks.

The first man then pulled a 3- to 4-inch knife and the second man began running and lost sight of him.

The second man reported the incident to UCPD right after, said UCPD spokeswoman Nancy Greenstein. Police arrested the man around 5 p.m. later that day.

Neither man is UCLA affiliated.

UCPD recommends students be aware of their surroundings and always call police if they see anything suspicious.
