A former intelligence officer in the Marine Corps and UCLA alum, Paul Greive found his calling in Primal Pastures – a family-owned farming business.
Inspired by the lack of availability of free-range chicken to enjoy, Greive’s family decided to take the business upon themselves.
For Greive, the Fully Employed MBA program called FEMBA, UCLA's part-time MBA program, provided a network that allowed him to improve and expand Primal Pastures.
Primal Pastures raises its livestock with organic feed and uses spacious pastures for cruelty-free farming.
With the help of his family, Greive provides locally produced meat and produce to homes across Southern California.
Primal Pastures farms its livestock naturally and delivers chicken, lamb and beef directly to homes.
Greive’s journey to farming began with arthritis, which caused him full-body pain and interfered with his work as an intelligence officer in the Marine Corps.
Greive’s aim is to use an environmentally sustainable farming process, preserving the soil and following natural processes.
Located in Temecula, Primal Pastures began as a one-acre piece of pastureland with 54 free-range chickens.
Greive graduated from FEMBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, allowing him to study business while growing his business hands-on.
