Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will not face felony charges following UCLA arrest

Sean “Diddy” Combs will not face felony assault and battery charges following his arrest for allegedly attacking a UCLA assistant football coach and an intern on June 22.
Shiara Davila-Morales, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, said L.A. county prosecutors declined to press felony charges on Combs because they did not find enough evidence to charge him with a felony. They passed his case to the L.A. city attorney’s office, which will decide whether to charge him with a misdemeanor, she added.
Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the L.A. city attorney’s office, said city prosecutors decline to comment on the case until they receive Combs’ file, which they expect to obtain by this week.
Mark Geragos, Combs’ lawyer, said in an email statement they are thankful prosecutors did not press felony charges on Combs and that he thinks the case never should have been part of the criminal justice system to begin with.
University police arrested Combs at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex on three charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, battery and making terrorists threats.
