UCPD searching for suspect in attempted Glenrock Avenue burglary

University police are searching for a man who entered a UCLA student’s Glenrock Avenue apartment early Monday morning and attempted burglary.

The man entered the apartment on 558 Glenrock Ave. about 12:10 a.m. Monday through an open window screen, according to a UCPD statement. The student woke up and confronted the man, who then left the apartment.

The man was described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds with a shaven head, according to the statement.

The student reported the attempted burglary later that morning.

No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.

UCPD recommends students to secure all windows and doors and to call UCPD immediately after a crime has occurred.
