A UCLA alumnus and his wife donated $1 million to a planned football facility on campus, UCLA Athletics announced Monday.

Philanthropists David Lund and his wife Marilyn Silva-Lund donated the funds to a fundraising campaign that began in fall 2013 to build the Wasserman Football Center. The center is set to be a training facility near Spaulding Field, where UCLA’s football team practices, according to a press release.

David Lund went on to UCLA School of Law after finishing his undergraduate studies at UCLA, and spent over 30 years practicing international tax law abroad. The Lund couple also plans to leave their home in Sherman Oaks to UCLA Athletics.

The Wasserman center’s recruiting lounge and terrace will be named after the couple.
