Nine UCLA football players were named to the All-Pac-12 first and second teams Tuesday night. Junior cornerback Ishmael Adams was the lone Bruin selected to the first team.

The most noticeable absence from the first team was redshirt senior inside linebacker Eric Kendricks, who tied with Arizona linebacker Scooby Wright III for the Pac-12’s leading tackler with 139 tackles. Wright was chosen for the first team and was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year while Kendricks was relegated to the All-Pac-12 second team.

Joining Kendricks on the second team are redshirt junior quarterback Brett Hundley, redshirt junior center Jake Brendel, sophomore defensive tackle Kenny Clark, redshirt senior defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa, sophomore outside linebacker Myles Jack, redshirt senior defensive back Anthony Jefferson and junior cornerback Fabian Moreau.

Conspicuously missing from the both teams was redshirt sophomore running back Paul Perkins, who led the Pac-12 in rushing. USC’s Javorius Allen, Utah’s Devontae Booker, Arizona State’s D.J. Foster and Oregon’s Royce Freeman were all chosen ahead of Perkins.

UCLA’s nine players was the second most for any team besides Oregon, which had 10. Another nine Bruins earned honorable mentions.
