Police arrested three people in Westwood Village late Friday in connection with a series of street robberies in the area.

University police officers pulled over a car driving near the corner of Westwood Boulevard and Lindbrook Drive after matching it with the description on an internal crime bulletin, said UCPD Lt. Mark Littlestone.

In the vehicle, officers found cash, phones and multiple credit cards and ID cards with the names of people not in the car, said UCPD spokeswoman Nancy Greenstein in an email statement.

The car and the two men inside matched descriptions in several street robberies in which people were pushed down and their belongings were taken, Littlestone said.

Los Angeles Police Department officers arrested George Noel Gilbert Brown, 22, Keyana Tranae Curry, 19, and Jason Brown, 30, about 11:20 p.m. Friday.

The three people are being held at the Van Nuys jail on about $100,000 bail each.
