The UCLA women’s golf team finished ninth among 12 teams in this week’s inaugural ANNIKA Intercollegiate held at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Fla.

The No. 4-ranked team in the nation started the three-day tournament by shooting a combined seven-over par (295) to fall 15 strokes behind first-day leaders, the Arizona Wildcats after day one. After the final day, the UCLA total was at 11-over par, resulting in a ninth place finish.

On an individual level, freshman Lydia Choi finished at even par (216) to lead the Bruins in scoring for the week and to finish tied for 14th place. Other notable scores were sophomore Bronte Law who finished at +4, freshman Erin Choi at +5, and junior Louise Ridderstrom at +14.

The Bruins now have roughly two weeks to prepare for the Stanford Intercollegiate which takes place from Oct. 17-19.
