Having completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA this year, former men’s basketball center Sooren Derboghosian will transfer to Drexel and play out his final remaining year of eligibility, Derboghosian announced via Twitter. He will be immediately eligible to play for the Dragons.

Derboghosian transferred to UCLA in 2012 after playing his first two seasons at Glendale Community College. At UCLA, Derboghosian rarely saw playing time, totaling just seven minutes on the floor in 2012-2013 and not playing in 2013-2014.

UCLA faced Drexel in its season opener in 2013, winning 72-67. The Dragons, a member of the Colonial Athletic Association, finished last season with a 16-14 record.
