Alison Lee ends successful season with two Pac-12 awards

UCLA women’s golf freshman Alison Lee concluded her standout season by earning a pair of awards, as she was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and the Pac-12 Golfer of the Year.
Lee held the No. 1 individual rankings position in the NCAA for much of the season, and led the Bruins with three tournament wins. Lee was the only UCLA player to have a cumulative season score under par, hitting (-22) on the year. The Bruins’ second best cumulative score was (+10) by junior Erynne Lee.
Alison Lee’s scoring average of 71.0, though 34 rounds, set a single season UCLA scoring record. Her 20 rounds shot under par also set a school record.
Her Pac-12 Player of the Year award was preceded by a Pac-12 individual championship on April 27.
Beyond the Pac-12 recognition, Lee was also named a first-team All-American and the Women’s Golf Coaches Association’s national Freshman of the Year by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.
Lee helped guide UCLA to a third place finish in the NCAA championships on May 23.
