A candidate running with the FIRED UP! slate plans to officially withdraw from the undergraduate student government elections for personal reasons.

Adar Carver, a third-year philosophy student, was set to run for an Undergraduate Students Association Council General Representative office in the upcoming elections.

Carver said he plans to submit the necessary forms to pull out of the race Tuesday because of personal issues.

There are now 30 students running in the USAC elections, which will take place during sixth week this quarter. Four slates – ¡Bruin Satyrists!, Bruins United, FIRED UP! and LET’S ACT! – are running candidates. ¡Bruin Satyrists!, a new slate, is made up of just one candidate.

Following Carver’s withdrawal, FIRED UP! is running one candidate for General Representative, while Bruins United and LET’S ACT! are each running three candidates for the three General Representative positions.
