UCLA’s Jordan Adams, Norman Powell file paperwork for NBA draft evaluation

UCLA men’s basketball’s sophomore guard Jordan Adams and junior guard Norman Powell filed paperwork to get NBA draft evaluations, according to a Los Angeles Times report.

While neither have officially announced their decision whether or not to enter the draft, the paperwork provides feedback on the range where each player is projected to be drafted. It does not commit players to entering the draft.

Second round picks in the NBA draft do not automatically receive guaranteed contracts while first round picks do, meaning that the round Adams and Powell are graded in could affect their decision of whether or not to declare.

Adams led UCLA in scoring in the 2013-2014 season with 17.4 points per game, while Powell nearly doubled his scoring average to 11.4 points per, up from 6.1 points the season before.

Sophomore guard/forward Kyle Anderson and freshman guard Zach LaVine have already declared for the NBA draft.
