Left tackle Torian White no longer with UCLA football

Torian White, who started at left tackle as a redshirt sophomore last season before suffering an injury, is no longer a part of the UCLA football program, coach Jim Mora said Tuesday after UCLA’s first spring practice.

White was arrested on Nov. 17 on suspicion of sexual assault and was suspended from the team indefinitely. His case is still under investigation.

The Bruins have multiple options for replacing White. Redshirt senior offensive lineman Malcolm Bunche, a transfer from the University of Miami, will provide a veteran option who Mora anticipates will make his first spring practice appearance Thursday once he clears admissions obstacles.

Mora also pointed to offensive tackle Poasi Moala, a redshirt freshman next season, as a player who made huge strides in the offseason.
