UCLA dropped from eighth place to 10th place this year in the Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings list.

The 2014 list, released Wednesday, includes the top 100 most globally powerful university brands. It is based on published scholars’ perceptions of the teaching and research quality in their disciplines at different universities.

Harvard University once again claimed first place, followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Yale University and the California Institute of Technology ousted UCLA from eighth place.

University of California, Berkeley, the only University of California campus to rank higher than UCLA, dropped from fifth to sixth place this year.
