Long Story Short – October 28, 2013

By Jennifer Crane and Sidhaant Shah

Oct. 29, 2013 1:08 a.m.

Correction: The recording of this show contained an error. During our live show, the movie clip played was misidentified as “Night of the Walking Dead.” The selected clip was actually from the film “Night of the Living Dead”.

In the spirit of Halloween, Jennifer Crane and Sidhaant Shah brew up a spooktacular night of Long Story Short. First, Thai Edwards, an actor in graduate student Dallas King’s feature-length film “Hozon” teaches us how to walk, talk and stalk like a zombie. Afterwards, Simchi Cohen, a graduate student in comparative literature, shares an excerpt from her dissertation on zombie history and how it has developed from Haitian folklore to contemporary American popular culture. The show then wraps up with a demonic tale recited by fourth-year philosophy and English student, Edgar Rodriguez.
