UCLA women’s golf opened its season over the weekend, earning a first-place finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tenn. that marked the 50th career win at UCLA for coach Carrie Forsyth.

After the first round on Friday, the Bruins were in second place, trailing Arizona State by four strokes, but jumped into first place on Saturday after draining 20 birdies in round two. No. 4 UCLA held onto its lead during the third round on Sunday to capture the victory, cruising ahead of second-place Arizona State, who finished 20 strokes back.

Junior Erynne Lee captured the individual victory with a score of 209 (-7) and freshman Alison Lee finished second, one stroke behind.

The Bruins will play next on Oct. 13 at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Tex.
