"We're discussing Filipino culture because a lot of people think I'm Filipino but I'm really not. They come up to me speaking Tagalog and I want to just respond to them in Tagalog. I just got to learn it."
"What are you actually?"
"Guatemalan."

"Who do these notes go to?"
"They go to wounded soldiers who come to UCLA to get reconstructive surgery."
"What does this cause mean to you?"
"It gives me gratification to know something small is making them feel enormously important. What they're doing is such a big sacrifice to our country and if they know undergraduates care about them, it means a lot."

"Why do you want the photo?"
"I do a blog called Humans of Westwood and I take pictures of interesting people around campus."
"So you'll put me on the front page, right?"
"I don't know if I could do that. It's going online only."
"OK, you can hashtag it #fellowwithacello #jkitsabass."

"What is your favorite thing about UCLA?"
"Definitely the student community. I'm a first-year transfer student, so that's definitely something really important to me."

"We promote career development for people who don't have access or are underprivileged. We give them opportunities to network in finance, business and accounting."
"So what are you selling?"
"We're trying different methods to raise $5,000 in order to get board members and volunteers to Washington, D.C. for a conference. Today, we're selling Mexican candy."

"I get beads from all over the world and make jewelry myself. These are from Kenya, those are from India." She had a bunch of dresses on sale behind her jewelry.
"Do you also make your own clothes and sell them?"
"Oh no, I just sell those. Someone else makes them. I would have no time to sell if I had to make those also. That's why we should divide the labor. I make, you sell or you make and I sell. We all share the wealth."

"My hair has also been red, purple and other different shades of blue."
"What's the next color you want to dye it?"
"Magenta. Then I'll probably go back to normal after that."
"What's 'normal?'"
"Brown. But I don't like brown hair too much."

"Did you just get tired and decide to rest?"
"Yeah, pretty much."
