On Sunday, No. 8 UCLA (34-14, 17-7 Pac-12) completed its sweep of Arizona at Jackie Robinson Stadium with a 12-5 victory on Senior Day.

The Bruins pounded out a season-high three home runs and also collected 13 hits. Senior second baseman Cody Regis and redshirt junior pitcher Ryan Deeter were honored before the game, the team’s final Sunday home game of the regular season.

Deeter came on in relief in the fifth inning with the bases loaded and no outs. The reliever then induced a pair of pop outs followed by a grounder to end the inning, earning him the victory.

Coach John Savage and junior shortstop Pat Valaika, who homered in the sixth, spoke to Bruin Sports senior staff Tyler Drohan after the win about the team’s weekend performance and about facing No. 4 Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday.
