May 7, 2013 11:27 p.m.

Radio broadcast producer Bianca Broszus joins the show for this week’s Long Story Short. First, Daily Bruin Arts and Entertainment contributors Aalhad Patankar and Brendan Hornbostel discuss the Great Gatsby and how the new film stacks up against the original novel and the 70’s film version. Daily Bruin Radio reporter Davey Kim talks to the Ashe Center’s Dr. David Baron about whether organic food is really all it’s cracked up to be. Later, two UCLA student spoken word artists, second year international development studies students Alexander Mercier and Sy Stokes, give live performances of their pieces and explain how they developed skills for this particular art form.
