The UCLA swim team concluded the fall portion of its season this weekend, taking fourth place at the AT&T Winter National Championships behind USC, Arizona, and Texas.

Individually, the Bruins landed nine personal best times in their events. Junior Kathryn Murphy led the team with four relay medals and a new lifetime best in the 100″“meter freestyle, an event in which she already had the second-fastest time in UCLA history.

The meet’s final day also saw both sophomore Noelle Tarazona and junior Anna Senko medal in the 200m butterfly, Senko’s third podium appearance of the weekend.

The demanding three”“day meet was a rehearsal for the draining multi-day NCAA championships.
But for now, the team will focus on getting through another demanding schedule: finals week. They will take a short break extending into the winter holiday before getting back in the pool during winter break to prepare for the bigger meets coming up in winter quarter.
