Long Story Short – April 9, 2012

By Taylor Erickson

April 9, 2012 9:09 p.m.

April 9, 2012 – From politics in the classroom to contemplating our inner emotions, finding a balance is key. A recently published Wall Street Journal article argues that professors in the UC system are indoctrinating students with leftist propaganda. Daily Bruin columnist Alexandra Tashman responds to the article and contests his argument on the issue of politicization in the classroom.

On Sunday, Long Story Short co-host Taylor Erickson attended The Day of Mindfulness, a six-hour meditation workshop hosted by Wake Up. It’s an international Buddhist movement that aims to teach college students the art of mindfulness and cultivating inner peace in their bustling lives.

Long Story Short streams Mondays at 6 p.m. on UCLAradio.com. Visit our broadcast archive or subscribe to our podcast.
