“Fabulous and over 40″ are the words that the Ole Skool Crew Supreme Dance Team uses to describe their dancers, all above the age of 40 and who also perform live. The Ole Skool Crew women usually perform for the Los Angeles Sparks, but will they take their moves to Pauley Pavilion this week to perform at the UCLA women’s basketball game against Cal this Friday.

“We are crowd-pleasers ““ we love to entertain, and we enjoy ourselves doing it,” said Traci Hawkins, executive director of the Ole Skool Crew.

Since the group’s creation in 2004, the Ole Skool Crew has performed at various venues, including the Staples Center. It has also made appearances on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and KTLA 5’s “Morning Show.” According to Hawkins, the Ole Skool Crew is currently looking into doing a reality show about WNBA dancers.

However, the crew also enjoys performing for a younger crowd. According to Hawkins, students at Pauley Pavilion are enthusiastic, loud and supportive, which she enjoys. This Friday, the Crew will be dancing to songs such as MC Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This.”

“We like to get out there and show what we’ve got going on and how well we do it after 40,” Hawkins said. “Our most important message is to inspire other men and women who are over 40 that life does not end at that age: It is just beginning. You can reinvent yourself “¦ you can do anything you want to do in life just as long as you put your mind to it and you believe in yourself.”
