Valentine’s Day has become an event that has grown to be very stressful. In an attempt to save those who have not planned an extravagant night out for their significant other, AMC Theatres is rereleasing the ’80s teen classic “Sixteen Candles” Sunday and Monday at 7 p.m.

Playing at the AMC Century City 15, located in the Westfield Century City Mall, this movie will be a step above the normal dinner-and-a-movie date night. The film follows Molly Ringwald, who plays Samantha Baker, on her 16th birthday, as she tries to get the attention of the popular school senior and make her birthday a memorable one.

The movie is not limited to the AMC Century City, so for those going home to see their high school sweethearts, do not fret, it is still a viable option.

Tickets are $12.50 per person and can be bought both at the theater and online.

This classic story of parental negligence, teen love and underpants in the basement of a high school will undoubtedly bring a nostalgic smile for all those in love, like or anywhere in between.
