UPDATED: John Wooden hospitalized at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center

John Wooden is still resting at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, according to a university statement. Further information is being withheld at the request of the family.

The statement also said there will be no more updates Friday.

John Wooden is “resting comfortably” Friday morning at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, according to a UCLA athletic department press release. Wooden has been hospitalized since May 26 because of dehydration. “At the request of the family, no other information regarding Coach Wooden’s condition will be released,” the press release went on to say.

The university is expecting a further update this afternoon.

John Wooden is at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, according to an athletic department spokesman Thursday evening.

Details on his status have not been confirmed by either his family or university officials.

Wooden has been hospitalized, and various media reports have called his condition “grave,” but university officials would not comment on his condition out of respect for the Wooden family.
