Ackerman Turnaround closed after call about suspicious package

University Police received a call about a suspicious package found in Ackerman Turnaround at approximately 6 p.m.
The turnaround is closed from Strathmore Avenue to the beginning of Bruin Walk while UCPD waits for the Los Angeles Police Department Bomb Squad to arrive for further investigation, UCPD Sgt. Paul Stewart said.
Students are being asked to walk behind the buildings on the perimeter of Ackerman Turnaround to access Westwood Boulevard or through Parking Structure 6 to get on campus. Ackerman Union remains open.
