Robberies

On Feb. 6, at around 7:30 p.m., a parking employee became the
second kiosk attendant robbed at gunpoint in the last two
weeks.

The assailant first approached the kiosk located in front of the
Medical Plaza on Gayley Avenue and asked for a parking ticket
refund.

After a brief discussion, he took out a .32-caliber handgun and
demanded money. The attendant, who was alone, complied and
surrendered $240.

The attendant was ordered to lie on the floor as the assailant
escaped on foot. The attendant pushed a panic button alerting the
police. Although the police arrived under a minute later, they did
not immediately catch the assailant.

However, police later apprehended a suspect, who they believe is
responsible for both robberies.

The suspect is now detained at the West Hollywood Los Angeles
Police Department station, police said. He will be arraigned
today.

Auto break in

On Feb. 4, an unknown suspect punched in the passenger side door
of an Acura Integra and removed miscellaneous property from the
car. The vehicle was parked overnight in Structure 8, level one.
The loss was an estimated $3,465.Comments to
